I began the review of Lomography Lomochrome Color 92 back in 2023 -- like most other film photographers these days, I took my sweet time developing the film. This is one that I didn't want to rush. The other day, I was thinking about having just a single zoom lens. APS-C cameras and Micro Four Thirds cameras have that with one of the best being the Tamron 18-300mm that we reviewed a while back. And the closest and best I've seen for full-frame is the Nikon 28-400mm and the Tamron 28-300mm. But why can't they go even wider? Manufacturers say that an 18-300mm lens for full-frame would be so big. However, I don't really think that it would be.

And in January of this year, something happened that made us say that we're taking a break from the art world. So this year, I've given direction to the staff to focus instead on just tech, combatting generative AI involved in image making, and more investigative stories. Additionally, we've leaned into the fact that we've tested the most cameras and lenses of any photo-speciality publication -- so we do lots of roundups. Flickr Became a Place for Adults Only

Last month, Flickr announced a new set of rules that state that it's only a place for 18+ old photographers to be able to share images and join the community. I'm not sure how they're enforcing this, but I can tell you for certain that this helps to make it one of the better communities for photographers around. I can start with the fact that I can scroll past images and won't get randomly poked to check out some other thing that they think I may be interested in. Seriously, I'm long over internet algorithms feeling like a golden retriever puppy with its attention split on a million things at once.
