The Hasselblad 907X CFV 100C Got So Much Better
by Chris Gampat
July 22, 2026
Earlier this month, Capture One and Hasselblad finally put aside their feud that had been going on for way too long. Part of this was because Capture One and Phase One were so closely tied together. But since the companies split apart years ago and went into different directions, Capture One could finally make friends with whomever they chose. So that means that their cameras finally got RAW support in Capture One. It's pretty universally accepted that photographers know that Capture One is the better photo editor than Lightroom. So how are Hasselblad's RAW files in it?

Should You Get the Fujifilm GFX 100S II in 2026?
by Chris Gampat
July 22, 2026
Back around 2024, I reviewed the Fujifilm GFX 100S II. And since then, the review has been updated by more than just me. As I look through the images that I've shot, I really do like the images. Yet at the same time, I also really do wonder about why someone would ever consider buying one of these cameras. And essentially, it comes down to the workflow.

Fuji Cameras Can Get Worn Down. So Protect Them With This
by Chris Gampat
July 22, 2026
Fujifilm's cameras are plenty durable. But after a while, problems develop that we never thought we'd see. That's why we created the Photography Care Program, in collaboration with Full Frame Insurance. Dust affects your camera and lens performance more than you think, and unless you're constantly cleaning the lens contacts, your autofocus performance could end up pretty wonky. But just in case something happens, you can ensure your camera gear is always covered.

by Chris Gampat
July 22, 2026
Fact: brands like KEH, MPB, and others tend to flood the internet with a ton of ads to get people to come to them to buy used cameras. But are they always honest? Luckily, I've been buying used cameras for around 20 years. The used camera market is also really hot. And inspired by a post on Reddit asking how much of a scam Cute Camera is, I decided to round up a ton of articles and tips that I and others have written in the past as well as talk about some of the best places to buy used camera gear.

Hey Photographers: Help Us Promote Your Work
by Chris Gampat
July 21, 2026
After a long break, the Phoblographer has decided to start featuring photographers again as part of our regular publishing schedule. In light of this news, we've revamped our standards on publishing photography projects. No generative AI can be used, only assistive AI. And in addition to that, we're looking to feature photography projects are really lend themselves to the human way of doing things -- and that cannot be easily duplicated by AI at all. We're not against AI, I mean, I'm a high functioning blind man who uses it when I need to. But we're against humans being replaced. You can find all the details of how to apply to be featured here.

Something No One Thinks About in Landscape Photography
by Chris Gampat
July 21, 2026
On the Phoblographer, we tend to talk a whole lot here about color, black and white, and how incredibly important it is to use them effectively in your photography. We typically apply them to portraiture, but it's also not too terrible of an idea to apply it to landscape photography.
