However, the latter was proven wrong recently by the winners of the British Wildlife Photography Awards. Here's a look at how it all played out and why Canon won this edition.

What You Always Wanted to Know About Fuji Lenses
by Chris Gampat
March 9, 2026
For years, the Phoblographer has been reporting on tech specs of lenses when they're announced. And often we'll see something like, "7 elements in 5 groups." But like, really, what the hell does that mean? Why is it important when all these lenses have such similar image quality? It's easy to be new to photography and not know a whole lot about the tech specs that the manufacturers blurt out. So in this case, we asked Fujifilm what they're talking about exactly.

Influencers are Bought. We’re Not

Let's quickly talk about the economics of running Phoblographer. Real talk: if everyone who came to the site was charged $1, I'd have enough money in under a week to fund the website for the entire year without banner ads. Trust me, if I could get rid of banner ads, I would. But the truth is that they help the staff get paid, the server bill get settled, etc. And with the current state of the economy, things are tougher for publications than ever. But the Phoblographer's annual banner-ad-free subscription is only $25/year. That's kind of like you're only paying a bit over $2 a month. With that said, if everyone who came to the site in the period of a month bought a year-long subscription, we'd have enough money to fund the website and grow it for several years to come.

Among the most visually colorful memory cards I’ve ever seen or used are the OWC CF Express Ultra series. But aside from looks, how do they hold up in professional use-case scenarios? I tested them out at some high-profile sporting events in town to see if they were quick enough to keep up with fast-paced …

You Don’t Need a New Camera. But This Helps
by Chris Gampat

Hey pros! Listen up! Our photography insurance program is designed to be there when photographers really need it! We're giving you more than the competition can in different ways! Here's a little-known fact: the warranty of your camera or lens doesn't necessarily cover what happens to it in case of dust, inclement weather, etc. That's why we created the Photography Care Program, in collaboration with Full Frame Insurance. Dust affects your camera and lens performance more than you think, and unless you're constantly cleaning the lens contacts, your autofocus performance could end up pretty wonky. But just in case something happens, you can ensure your camera gear is always covered.

by Nilofer Khan
March 7, 2026
Nikon has created some exceptional lenses since its establishment. While the company has pivoted to mirrorless in recent years, that does not mean their older lenses do not deserve a shout-out. Given that many young users still rely on DSLRs, we are taking a look at some F-mount lenses turning 10 this year and how they may perform despite the gap.
