Leica Unveils M11-P Safari Special Edition: A Rare Collector’s Camera
By Nilofer Khan
May 8, 2025
Leica has often designed some truly special limited edition cameras, whose value gradually increases over time. For instance, the Leica M6 King of Thailand edition, specifically designed for the golden jubilee of His Majesty King Bhumiphol Adulyadej of Thailand, or the Leica M9-P Grey Rahn Edition, which has a military grey lacquering. Joining this special list of M series cameras is the newly launched Leica M11-P Safari Edition, a design that has its special place in Leica's long-standing legacy.

Why Switching from Sony to Nikon is So Simple
By Chris Gampat
May 8, 2025
If I started all over again in photography and needed to do a little bit of everything, then I'd probably choose Nikon as my primary camera system if we chose from the big three. Currently, they're in a state where they're giving photographers pretty much everything that the want and need. And so I've been thinking about this idea more and more as time has gone on. For years, I've owned lots of Canon and Sony gear. But I haven't wanted to dip deeply into Nikon -- except for the Nikon Zf and the 40mm f2. Thankfully, making a switch isn't as difficult as one would think.

The 5 Best-Selling Cameras on Amazon Are Not From Canon, Nikon, or Sony
By Nilofer Khan
May 8, 2025
Amazon is one of the most sought-after online e-commerce services, and many people prefer it to purchase their new cameras over physical shops. So, we decided to take a deep dive into the most sold cameras on the platform, and to our surprise, you won't see big players on the list. Why is that the case? I can't tell. However, it appears that the price point plays a critical role. Here is a look at the top 5 best-selling cameras and what their specifications are.

Canon RF 24mm f1.4 L Review: Not Done By an Influencer
By Chris Gampat
May 8, 2025
Generally speaking, there are very few Canon RF lenses that I don't really like. Some of them, like the Canon RF 24-105mm f2.8 L, just don't make a lot of sense to me. But this is a small prime lens and offers good image quality without being the equvalent of reverse osmosis water the way that Sony is. If that went over your head, then just know that it doesn't feel like it was made in a lab. Instead, it was made with something a bit more special.

By Nilofer Khan
May 7, 2025
Some photographers prefer to shoot in low light. Whether these are environmental portraits, events, or scenes from the streets, photographers who like to lurk in the dark often rely on fast aperture lenses. After all, shooting from dusk to dawn has its own pros and cons, but that doesn't mean one should be discouraged from it due to the rising cost of lenses. To help those who prefer the night, we have collated a list of lenses that will give you great performance, without the added cost.

The Godox TT520III Seems Like A Fab Entry To Flash Photography
By Feroz Khan
May 7, 2025
The company that in the last decade has given established lighting brands a run for their money, has launched a new entry-level speedlight - the Godox TT520III. With a 16-channel wireless receiver built into it, an adjustable flash head with an integrated diffuser, and the capability to use Godox's magnetic accessories and more, it might just be the perfect product for those seeking to take their first steps in flash photography.

Panasonic S1R II Review Update: It’s Better Than We Thought it Was
By Chris Gampat
May 7, 2025
After spending several weeks with the Panasonic S1R II, we've finally come to our final conclusions about the camera. In many ways, this is absolutely one of the single best cameras for real photographers that primarily care about still photography over trying to game social media algorithms via video. That's because of any of the still-photography cameras out there, it offers you the most creative options you can possibly have. There's Real Time LUT, Panasonic's own Cinelike profiles, in-camera multiple exposure with RAW, Live View Composite, and very reliable autofocus along with versatile image quality. I've been carefully considering what my next camera choice will be -- and between this, the Leica M11D, and the Fujifilm GFX 100RF, this is the camera I'm considering because of how much creativity it gives me. Seriously, Panasonic is providing liberation that Canon and others have taken away from me. And so we're updating our full review.

The Sigma BF Review: Choose Form or Function?
By Alberto Lima
May 7, 2025
When I first saw the Sigma BF at a pop-up store in NYC, I was instantly blown away by the minimalist design and spartan controls. I wondered how a camera that emphasized form to this extent would perform in the real world. Sigma claims that the BF is an exercise in “beautiful foolishness.” We tested this camera to see if it is a work of beauty or a fool’s errand.
