Fujifilm has been winning the audience left, right, and center. The company's latest offerings are exceeding expectations, thanks to the innovation, especially for the smaller sensor segment. With a new variety of cameras to work with, some young photographers couldn't be more elated. However, it has come to our attention that the price point of some of these cameras will increase (again). The reports suggest that the company has officially revealed that consumers will be hit with a second price increase as early as August 30. Here's a look at what can get more expensive.

This Fujifilm Camera is Shaping The Photo Market in 2025
By Nilofer Khan

Camera sales have been showcasing the successes of compact devices. One reason is that many people want a small camera that is easy to carry around and does not rely on multiple lenses. There are also many who want the same compactness in interchangeable lens cameras, and so, only a handful of offerings have been seeing a positive response. For instance, Sony and Fujifilm. Per a new report, Fujifilm has had another victory in the sales department, showcasing how they seem to be getting the market right.

Canon has multiple RF lenses, many of which continue the legacy of its popular and much-loved L series lenses. They are designed to withstand bad weather, have powerful performance, and have fast autofocus. The company has been expanding this list with new offerings, many of which are hybrid lenses now. Per a new patent, the company is working on a new lens that will offer a bright aperture and be perfect for portrait photographers. Here's a look.

The Nikon Z 24-70mm f2.8 S II is Actually a Major Upgrade
By Chris Gampat
August 22, 2025
It's crazy to think that this website reviewed the Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 Z original back in 2019. And today, the company is announcing the revamp of this lens. The new Nikon Z 24-70mm f2.8 S II is part of the S lineup, which means that it's one of their higher end lenses. When the original launched, we considered it to be one of the absolute best 24-70mm lenses made. But since then, lots of others have come out. So what makes the new one so different?

One of the Greatest Digital Cameras Nikon Made

In 2010, I was still in my first year of starting the Phoblographer. And with a photojournalism and wedding background to my name, I tried to review higher end camera gear. At the time, the camera world was very split between three big DSLR options. The firstwas the Canon 5D Mk II and its higher end options -- which so many photographers loved for the extra capabilities it offered with video and all. Then there was the Sony a900, which offered more megapixels and the chance to keep using your older Minolta lenses. But perhaps the king of the time would've been the Nikon D3s. With a 12MP sensor and a world where we didn't need a whole lot of detail because the web hadn't embraced it yet, this camera was incredible in so many different ways. The autofocus worked, the dynamic range improved, the high ISO output was designed to go into ranges that no others dared, etc. And most of all, it's been in use by photographers even today.

The Nikon Camera That Proves the World is Flat and That we Never Went to the Moon

Growing up, I remember how in every classroom, we had a globe. Out of pure boredom, we'd sometimes spin it around and it would spin so fast that it would fall down -- sometimes shattering or denting. Like that shattered globe, the concept that the earth is round is a shattered idea for many who use one of Nikon's most controversial cameras. I'm not talking about the Nikon Z9 and how photographers love to diss the autofocus and compare it to the speed of a potato. But instead, it's a camera that you don't see discussed in photography circles all that often: the Nikon P1100. You see, its predecessors, the P1000 and P900, have been what the photography product managers would call, "niche." In the age of misinformation and AI though, I'm not totally sure that it's all that niche of a product.

How to Choose the Right Point and Shoot Camera
By Chris Gampat
August 21, 2025
Back in 2009, I wrote an article about how to choose a point and shoot camera -- specifically, the right one for you. When taking a look back into our archive, I realized that we're experiencing similar things. Arguably, we're in some sort of recession right now. And there are so many good cameras out there right now that you don't need to buy something brand new. In truth, an older full-frame camera that's more feature rich than smaller sensor bodies will be cheaper than a newer camera. People want point and shoot cameras because they're sick of the AI processing that their phones are doing and they want to look at those types of screens a lot less.

They may be old, but they are excellent in many ways even today.

By Nilofer Khan

Ricoh has created some of the most memorable street photography cameras of all time, the GR series. Today, after much waiting, the company has launched the GR IV, which offers a plethora of features over the GR III and the GR IIIx. The new camera is said to feature an overhaul in all the major areas, including components, lens, image sensor, and imaging engine. But does it still carry the flash that users wanted? Let's have a closer look.
