Food photography is one of the most underrated forms of the medium. Food not only allows one to reconnect with the traditions of a place but also with multiple communities that shape it. In fact, food is one of the easiest ways to understand a culture that may be fading away. Food photographers, thus, are documentors of not just what is being served but also the way of life. For a while now, Nikon has been in a lawsuit with Viltrox over not paying a licensing fee to make lenses for the Nikon Z camera system. That move has majorly annoyed many photographers. And in private circles, Nikon reps have been telling folks that they will be doing a "scorched earth" approach to Viltrox. So in a similar fashion that they did to RED, Nikon is agreeing to acquire Viltrox after this lawsuit.

Since being founded almost 20 years ago, Kodak Alaris is now being shut down and integrated into Eastman Kodak. Eastman was the one manufacturing the film while Alaris, for many years, was the one distributing and selling it. But as of recent years, Eastman had started selling the film directly to stores. With Alaris now gone, are the prices of film going to go down?
