Meditation for Photographers and the Tea Ceremony
This workshop is designed to help photographers and those keen on learning more about separating from the digital world. You'll realize in your meditation that you'll come to one of two paths: a vision quest or total inner silence. Both paths are fully yours; and should be accepted with love that you define for yourself.
Chris will lead you through quick meditation preparation and then we'll use some sort of meditation aid. When all is done, we'll have a special tea ceremony with ancient trees.
This workshop costs $90 and happens on April 25th. Please click the link in the previous sentence for more details.
This has been a very long time in the making, and I'm very excited to finally make this happen. The Phoblographer is launching workshops for photographers who want to find ways to grow beyond just what all the social media content developers and YouTubers tell you you need. And we're doing this in a very special way that so many others don't do. More importantly, we're doing this at an extremely affordable price point at a secret location in New York City.

At 39 years old, I've been meditating for over 20 years. And only in the past few years did I decide to get my meditation teaching certification in Vipassana: the practice of silent meditation in various ways. My meditations have included clean and sober vision quests as well as understanding the peace of complete nothingness. Over the past 16 years of running the Phoblographer, meditation has helped me stay centered and focused amongst the maelstrom that is both journalism and photography.
But where my speciality is very different is with inclusivity. I'm legally blind and I've also worked on various weight/healthy/fitness transformations in the past 10 years. And I've written an entire thesis on how what meditation can look like is not what meditation actually is.
