When it comes to choosing the perfect camera for travel, one often ends up looking at full frame models. They do help you gather light better in low light, but they are also quite expensive. However, if you are someone who is looking to buy a camera that meets your needs, then this APS-C offering is just as wonderful. Have a look.

Sony has introduced over 80 lenses for the FE lineup over the past decade or so. The company has a wide range, from ultra-wide primes to spectacular zoom lenses, as well as some lovely bright aperture options. However, it appears that the company has a glaring omission about one format: fisheye lenses. Here's why it's time for Sony to focus on this often overlooked piece of optics.

The Mission to Help us Protect Photographers

In 2025, I started to do things that otherwise would seem crazy for a publisher of a niche photography online magazine to do. For starters, this year, the Phoblographer may actually make a printed magazine again. But in addition to that, we didn't sell any ads to the big camera manufacturers. It really showed me that if everyone even gave $1 to read FOR THE YEAR, we'd make enough money to be able to grow and sustain the site for a very, very long time. But that's really tough to ask. Eventually, I'd like to site to move away from needing and relying on banner-ads. Instead, I want the site to go fully super-affordable subscription eventually.

Painting with light isn't always just about having the right idea, it's also about the right tools and a creative vision in mind. Sometimes when it comes to things like illuminating trees in an otherwise dark scene, your phone just won't do it. But what you need the most is time -- at least if you're not using a flash.

How Cutting Down Post-Production Made me a Better Photographer

How Cutting Down Post-Production Made me a Better Photographer

Well over a decade ago, I remember when I made the decision that the staff of the Phoblographer would be testing cameras and lenses using Capture One instead of Adobe Lightroom. And in the long run, I think that it was absolutely the best decision. Adobe's products surely have merit. However, I feel like most people who use them end up spending more time in post-production than actually shooting images. To that end, they're not intentional with their photography shoots. Instead, they're intentional with their editing. In 2026, this doesn't make a photographer -- it makes one into a post-production artist instead.

Here's some real truth. Social media algorithms are rigged against photographers. Video gets pushed, photos get buried even when your single image has more soul than a thousand AI-generated TikToks with the same robotic voice-over. But here's what they don't want you to know: Your photography isn't the problem. The platforms are. And that's why we're offering a special Portfolio Review for Photographers program.

Sony has some of the best mirrorless offerings in the world. The company's decision to pivot to a different format in 2012 has been their best, and it appears that it is paying off really well for many photographers. Portrait image-makers get some impressive options to choose from as well, but there is one camera that easily takes precedence over others.

We all know the influencers aren't doing this. We're one of the only publications working to help you make images that AI can't really create. In 2025, I started to do things that otherwise would seem crazy for a publisher of a niche photography online magazine to do. Is Capture One Having An Export Problem?

Is Capture One Having An Export Problem?

Ever since the last version of Capture One, I’ve been observing a noticable increase in the export times for files. This isn’t just when dealing with large batches of images; I can say the same even when a handful of files needs to be exported for quick use. I thought the latest update to Capture …
