Leica Users, This 50mm Third-Party Lens Could be For You
By Nilofer Khan
June 10, 2025
Third-party lens manufacturers have been releasing various options for Leica users. Companies like Sigma, TTArtisan, Thypoch, Dr Ding, Meike, Astrhori, and more have some great offerings, which cost a quarter or less than the original Leica lenses. This means photographers who are first-time buyers can have a better range of lenses for their setup. Joining this vast list is a new Chinese company, Lailens, which has introduced a new lens for portrait photographers.

Fujifilm X Half Review: Is This the Best Camera for Women?
By Chris Gampat
June 10, 2025
The Fujifilm X Half is one of the very first cameras that did something completely different for me as a reviewer of over 15 years. For the first time ever, every single woman that I’ve been around in the past week or so of testing has been incredibly curious about it. Where a man would say, “It’s so small,” a woman would say so with excitement and internal quiet adoration. I’d see excitement and smiles in faces that I’ve really never seen before. So while lots of photographers might complain about the price tag or some of the features, I have to be very frank here. This might not be the camera for you.

Laowa 15mm f4.5 Macro Review: Not Done by an Influence
By Chris Gampat
June 10, 2025
The Laowa 15mm f4.5 Macro is quite a fascinating choice. You see, this isn’t the company’s first 15mm lens. Laowa also has a 15mm f4.5 Zero Distortion Tilt-shift, a 15mm f2, and a 15mm f4 macro — the latter is something we stated to be, “…true thing of beauty.” Perhaps best of all, this lens is only going to cost $399. But why another 15mm lens? It's an odd focal length choice to make so many options for. Lots of photographers instead would expect a 50mm or 35mm lens variant instead. But this? Well, at least the image quality is pretty nice.

June 9, 2025
We have often seen a large number of third-party lenses originating from Japan and China, with some options being created in South Korea and Russia. The latter countries are homes to companies like Samyang and Zenit, both of which are trying to carve a space against the likes of Viltrox, Sigma, Tamron, Laowa, TTArtisan, and more. It now appears that Zenit has finally unveiled a long-reported lens during an event in Russia. What could it be? Let's find out.

That’s what the JGIPL 4K Digital Camera offers – a camera that isn’t your phone.
