The Elinchrom Transmitter Pro X is an Unexpected Upgrade
by Chris Gampat
March 3, 2026
It's been a while since we've reviewed anything from Elinchrom. After announcing the Elinchrom One, Three, and Five in the past six years, we were wondering when a new light of some sort would be coming. And today, we're instead getting a new transmitter -- which has me scratching my head as nothing was wrong with the previous Skyports at all. Still, if you've been looking to move away from Profoto since their AI promotion and haven't wanted something from Godox, then Elinchrom is a good middle-ground to often consider. Yet at the same time, I don't know why the Elinchrom Transmitter Pro X for Canon is coming now.

After the closure of Photokina, the CP+ tradeshow in Japan became the central hub for photographers and manufacturers from around the world. This year, we saw some incredible innovations, but the spotlight was stolen by third-party lens manufacturers, who showcased a range of upcoming optics for users. Megadap Just Built the World’s First Leica M to Canon RF Autofocus Adapter
by Nilofer Khan
March 2, 2026
Lens adapters have done a wonderful job of allowing people to take their favourite optics to their current system. Those who prefer Leica M lenses, however, can use them only on Leica's own cameras. With little option to adapt them to the mirrorless system, one may give up on the lenses altogether. But Megadap, a Hong Kong-based adapter specialist, has just announced a new solution: the world's first autofocus adapter that lets Leica M be used on Canon RF cameras. Here's a look.

by Chris Gampat
March 2, 2026

Instead, they're all small businesses and working on little profits. These are labors of love, not made by billion-dollar companies, in many of the cases. And with that said, you're probably missing out on some of the best compact cameras on the market. So here are some of the ones that we love!
