Full-frame cameras are everyone's favourite. However, it is often the case that people gravitate towards mirrorless cameras instead of DSLRs in 2025. But we are here to tell you otherwise. DSLRs may seem outdated, but they are far from it. You still have the chance to work with extra megapixels, as well as iconic lenses. If you are looking for a device that won't cast much but offers great performance, here are two DSLRs that have proven their worth over time.

Sony’s Best Sensor is Nearly a Decade Old Now
By Chris Gampat
November 26, 2025
Though photographers don't really take DXOMark all that seriously anymore, but in terms of lab tests, they're very thorough. Crazy enough, the Sony a7r III is still considered by the company to be the best camera in terms of sensor output. It even beats the Sony a7r V. I encourage you to go look this up for yourself if you're in disbelief. In my mind, it's saying something about the camera industry.

How Gen Z is Rewriting the Rules of Photography
By Nilofer Khan
November 26, 2025
When one talks about the history of photography, it is pretty evident that every generation has made some inspiring contributions to the medium. The boomers were responsible for pushing image-making as a documentary of truth (photojournalism), but also shaping how we look at our lives (Nan Goldin). Millennials, on the other hand, focused on digital innovations, pushing photography to become more mainstream than ever. Now, the torch is passed on to Gen Z, many of whom refuse to be defined by traditions. Here's a look at how they are writing new verses of history.

Thypoch, a third-party lens manufacturer, often comes up in conversations about such lenses. And today, they expanded their Eureka lineup with a new wide-angle lens that draws inspiration from the iconic Dallmeyer Anastigmat lens. Here's a look at what Thypoch offers with this new version.

By Nilofer Khan
November 25, 2025
Vienna's Leitz Photographica Auction has been the best place for collectors. From iconic cameras to stunning lenses, each edition brings something exciting to the forefront. The 47th edition concluded with a new record, but it also highlighted how far the hype culture can influence the value of an object. The niche event, a favourite of many camera historians, became a global spectacle once the camera of the late Pope Francis was sold.

The Best Screenless Digital Cameras of 2025
By Chris Gampat
November 25, 2025
A new genre of camera has popped up in the past few years: the screenless digital camera. It started really with the original Camp Snap and then a whole bunch of others started popping up. Now, it's a robust category with lots of options for photographers to choose from. I'll admit it, though, I really wanted to put the Chuzhao camera on this list. However, it has a hidden screen. However, if you're looking for a screenless digital camera, consider these options.

The Panasonic Lumix FZ47: Was 12 Megapixels Enough?
By Alberto Lima
November 25, 2025
When it was first announced in 2011, the Panasonic LUMIX FZ47 was considered a “fun” bridge camera that sacrificed some of the features that made its sibling, the FZ150, a premium bridge camera. Among the features sacrificed on the altar of better affordability were the lack of RAW image capture, a now nearly abandoned video standard (AVCHD), and one of its biggest flaws in 2011 – the use of a CCD sensor over the more popular CMOS sensors. Nearly 15 years later, do these flaws still hinder this camera, or should it be on the watchlist of every digital camera enthusiast today?
